Below is an exemple of a bus trip from our B&B to downtown Vancouver. The trip takes about 20 minutes by bus and the bus stop is 0.33 km from our guest house. The same trip by car takes between 10 and 20 minutes depending on traffic.
Driving directions:
From the airport, follow Vancouver directions. You will cross a bridge. At the end of the bridge stay in the right lane and take the first exit to your right leading to Granville street. Keep going North on Granville street, towards Vancouver center, until you reach King Edward Avenue, which is the first traffic light after passing the flashing traffic light of W26th street (which means that the traffic light is pedestrian controlled). Turn left on King Edward Avenue (read 'Warning' below). Keep going West until you cross old railways tracks (there is very rarely a train, but be careful anyway!). Immediately after the tracks, you will find the intersection of King Edward Avenue and Arbutus Street. Do not turn on Arbutus Street but keep on the right lane of King Edward Avenue and cross the intersection, remaining on King Edward Avenue. Immediately after the intersection take the second street to your right (Yew street). Go North one block on Yew street and turn right on West 22nd Avenue. Our B&B is the 3rd house on the right side (South side) of the street (2172 West 22nd Avenue). Please park in front of the house whenever possible. There is 11.1 km and it takes approximately 12 minutes to drive from the airport to our BnB.Warning: Turning left on King Edward Avenue from Granville street is not allowed from 7:00 AM to 9:30 AM and from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. During that period turn left from Granville street onto W41st avenue instead. Continue west until you cross old railways tracks (there is very rarely a train, but be careful anyway!). The first traffic light after the tracks is the intersection with Arbutus Street. Turn right on Arbutus street. At the top of the hill is the intersection with King Edward Avenue. You may then turn left onto King Edward avenue and Immediately after the intersection take the second street to your right (Yew street). Go North one block on Yew street and turn right on West 22nd Avenue. Our B&B is the 3rd house on the right side (South side) of the street. Or you may instead cross the intersection of Arbutus and King Edward, remaining on Arbutus street, and prudently turn left immediately after the intersection into W22 street. Go down the street almost to the first intersection (Yew street). Our B&B is the 3rd house on your left before the intersection (2172 West 22nd Avenue).See maps below:

Eventually, after about 20 minutes if there is no traffic, you will go through the Massey tunnel. Keep going in the same direction, do not take any exit. You will go over the Oak bridge. Highway 99 becomes Oak street. Keep going North on Oak street, towards Vancouver center, until you reach King Edward Avenue, which is the first traffic light after passing the flashing traffic light of W26th street (which means that the traffic light is pedestrian controlled). Turn left on King Edward Avenue (there is no time restriction for turning left and there is a left turn lane). Keep going West until you cross old railways tracks (there is very rarely a train, but be careful anyway!). Immediately after the tracks, you will find the intersection of King Edward Avenue and Arbutus Street. Do not turn on Arbutus Street but keep on the right lane of King Edward Avenue and cross the intersection, remaining on King Edward Avenue. Immediately after the intersection take the second street to your right (Yew street). Go North one block on Yew street and turn right on West 22nd Avenue.
